Technical Assistant

CORE DUTIES

  • Assist Technical Executive in day-to-day technical and site operations.
  • Prepare, check and update work schedules and progress reports.
  • Closely monitoring Arahan Kerja, including resurfacing, milling, CIPR, drainage, and ancillary works.
  • Assist in the measurement of works, site records, and verification of quantities.
  • Coordinate with surveyors, QA/QC personnel, subcontractors, and suppliers on technical matters.
  • Assist in inspections, site meetings, and reporting of site progress and issues.
  • Ensure compliance with project specifications, safety requirements, and quality standards.
  • Provide technical support during material testing and site trials when required.
  • To perform tasks as and when required by the Management.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical field.
  • Minimum 1–3 years of working experience in construction, infrastructure, or road maintenance projects (fresh graduates with relevant knowledge are encouraged to apply).
  • Basic understanding of engineering drawings, technical documentation, and construction processes.
  • Familiarity with JKR specifications and road maintenance works will be an added advantage.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD or other drafting software is an added advantage.
  • Good communication, coordination, and organizational skills.
  • Able to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Willing to travel within Sarawak when required.
