CORE DUTIES

  • Prepare detailed 2D and 3D drawings, layouts and technical plans for road maintenance, rehabilitation and improvement works based on engineering inputs, survey data and site requirements.
  • Update and maintain accurate as-built drawings reflecting verified site conditions and completed works.
  • Assist Engineers in preparing maintenance-related drawings including resurfacing works, pavement repairs, drainage systems and road furniture installations.
  • Assist the Safety and Health Officer (SHO) in preparing and updating Traffic Management Plan (TMP) drawings in compliance with traffic control standards and authority requirements.
  • Ensure all drawings comply with applicable technical standards, specifications and regulatory requirements prior to submission.
  • Maintain proper documentation, drawing registers and version control for all technical drawings in both softcopy and hardcopy formats.
  • Coordinate with Engineers, Technical Executives, Surveyors and project teams to ensure drawing accuracy, completeness and alignment with site conditions.
  • Revise drawings based on design changes, site instructions and authority or technical feedback.
  • Support the preparation of technical reports, presentations and drawing submissions to clients and relevant authorities.
  • Ensure timely preparation and delivery of drawings in accordance with project schedules and operational requirements.
  • Utilise Google Earth and KMZ/KML spatial data for location referencing, corridor verification and integration with maintenance planning and engineering drawings.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

  • Minimum one (1) to three (3) years of working experience in civil engineering, road maintenance or infrastructure-related projects.
  • Diploma or Certificate in Civil Engineering, Drafting or related technical field.
  • Proficiency in drafting software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D or equivalent.
  • Good understanding of road design principles, maintenance practices and construction drawings.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications and technical documents.
  • Knowledge of road maintenance standards including pavement, drainage systems and road furniture.
  • Knowledge in preparation of Traffic Management Plan (TMP) drawings and traffic control layouts.
  • Basic understanding of chainage referencing, road reserve mapping and spatial coordination with survey or GIS data.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in drawing preparation.
  • Experience in handling as-built drawings and site revisions.
  • Ability to utilise Google Earth and KMZ/KML spatial data for mapping, verification and drawing coordination.
  • Familiarity with GIS or other engineering support software is an added advantage.
