Routine maintenance works are carried out on a cyclic and need basis to meet the minimum acceptable requirement. The works include:

• REINSTATEMENT OF EDGE DETERIORATION OF BACKFILLED TRENCHES
• TREATMENT TO DETERIORATION OF CONCRETE PAVEMENTS
• REPAIR OF CONCRETE PAVEMENT JOINTS
• REPAIR OF PAVING BLOCKS AND SLABS.

• RE-GRADING AND CLEARING OF VEGETATION
• TOPPING UP OF ROAD SHOULDERS WITH SUITABLE EARTH MATERIAL
• FILLING IRREGULARITIES IN UNSEALED SHOULDERS
• FILLING PAVEMENT/SHOULDER LEVEL DIFFERENCES

Periodic Maintenance
Periodic maintenance works are scheduled pavement rehabilitation works and unscheduled repair works. They are classified as minor reconstruction and maintenance projects, which include:
• Pavement strengthening including overlays and pavement recycling works using state of art techniques and technology
• Preventive maintenance works including mill and pave, resurfacing and other associated works
• Repair and replacement of damaged / missing road furniture, signboards, guardrails, drainage structures and culverts.
• Minor repairs to bridges & similar structures.
• Repairs to slope and embankment
Emergency Works
DAL HCM provides rapid response to emergency situations such as flood, landslide, bridge collapse, embankment failure, road subsidence, drainage structure and culvert collapse, hazardous material spillage and fallen trees. Among the services provided include:
• Traffic management (within one hour)
• Temporary traffic diversion
• Clearing of debris and materials to make road passable (within 24 hours)
